API error 992. Way to go Ryobi.

Same problem API ERROR 992 this is not good at all.

API error 992 - contacted support at Ryobi, said thier SSL license expired and they are getting it fixed. Should be back up and running "soon". I know they don't sell these anymore, but please maintain your app or give us other means to connect to another app or Home system.

same as below. code 992 hopefully they fix soon. i love all other ryobi products, garage door opener needs help.

If nothing else, it’s a good example of random reinforcement. Hardly ever works but will occasionally surprise you and operate correctly for an hour or two. Truly one of the worst implementations of “smart” tech I have ever wasted money on. I’d rather use a CueCat than the Ryobi GDO crapplication.

App says error 992 and won’t allow log in

API error 992. Application won’t let me log in.

We are removing our door openers and getting new after only 3 years because problem after problem. Our outside keypads have never worked (Pro Install), sensors failed and replaced already, and the app continual fails to work. Plus reason we purchased was they were supposed produce much less noise which is really not the case. Issue after issue with little to no support. Time to cut our losses and move on.

Same as everyone is saying below AFERROR 3. Can’t control the garage opener which defeats the whole purpose of its added features.

Same problem started today with same AFError error 3.

Hit or miss with phone remote. Worst app ever on my phone. Won’t let me log in; have to fill in my email each time i try. AFerror error 3 each time. Even a 3rd grader can do better building an app. Really disappointed in Ryobi, Home Depot for their lack of giving a damn.

One of the worse smart anything app. Lucky when you wake up one day and it works. Not reliable at all. Today a new one. Got logged out of the app. Impossible to log back in. Aferror3. Bugs after bugs after bug. Is there a way you hire actual devs and not students?

I’m having the same problem. Started today.

The app is cursed. IT works for awhile then stop. Then starts at random. Sometimes i get notifications but not email in a long time. Today app died yet again and gives error "AFError error 3". Should start working sometime this year.

All of a sudden notifications work perfectly fine now, as if nothing ever happened before.

The app sporadically stops working for weeks at a time. It has told me that my garage door is closed 78 times over the past couple of hours. And, to add insult to blatantly-crappy-software injury, it is now duplicating those notifications on my apple watch! I hate hate hate this app! It rarely works, and it goes haywire randomly when it sees fit. Ryobi, I hate you.

Login failure.... API error 992.... Will this app ever work??

Poorly written app - if it's going to fail 10 times a day, at least have it remember the email address !!!!! it takes 20 times to get logged in and you have to fill it in every time - was this written by a kindergartner?

R they going to fix this problem

Very disappointed in my Ryobi Garage Door App as I am consistently getting the Error 992 code. Please fix this!!! This is a huge inconvenience.

Your having the same problem I’m having. They must be updating the app or something hopefully they fix it soon. This sucks

My first complaint of 2019. Trying to make sure garage is closed ... but I guess I’m not the only one getting error 992. Looks like reliability is not a high priority.

Ryobi, your app is terrible, please do something about it. There's no reason to have the 992 errors once a week. I'm in market for a new opener for a construction project, good chances it will be a different brand. You sell better products than app that is available. No excuses, fix it.

Should have bought the Chamberlin!!!!!!!!! Worst app I've every installed on my phone. If you actually get the door sensor to connect to the opener enjoy it because in a week or so it will decide to stop working. After finally working for 2 weeks mine just decided to once again give me API ERROR 992. Whoever is responsible for the app should be fired.

I have read all the reviews on here so i messed around with the location of the different sensors, then I registered them on the Ryobi site and put everything back where I had originally located them and walah,. the app finally works. It show the date and time, it sends updates to my email when the door opens and shuts and the door on the app actually opens and closes with my garage door. I don't know if it's coincidence but everything works just fine now...
